Congratulations to the newest members of the 2007-2008 Headquarters California Cadet Corps Cadet State Staff: C/CPT Zak Lara - Cadet State Executive Officer (XO) Home Unit: Victor Valley High School C/2LT Aurora Dominquez - Cadet State Security & Safety Officer (S-2) Home Unit: Silverado High School C/SGM Jonathan Saldana - Cadet State Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Home Unit: Excelsior Education Center Hoorah!!! Congratulations to 2LT Kenneth Cook-Askins on his successful completion of the 7 day CACC Basic Commandant Training Academy, that was held at Camp San Luis Obisbo during the period 23-29 July 2007. 2LT Cook-Askins was also awarded the Professional Development Ribbon. Congratulations Congratulations to former C/COL Kenneth Cook-Askins who was commisioned to the grade of 2LT on 8 June 2007. He was also appointed Brigade Support Officer (BSO) and State Assistant S-5/S-6. New Cadet Brigade Commander Congratulations to newly promoted C/CPT Jessica Meyers who was appointed on 18 May 2007 as the 2007-2008 Brigade Commander for the 18th Brigade. STATE INDIVIDUAL MAJOR AWARDS Gongratulations to our cadets that competed at the State Individual Major Awards last Friday (11 May 07) in Sacramento! Kudos to C/2LT Jonathan Gray, Victor Valley High School for placing 2nd in the Best Junior Officer Category in the State of California. Also thanks to CPT Krause, Mr. Kenneth Cook-Askins and Mr. and Mrs. Gray for serving as chaperones.

Order your patch ASAP! We are also in the process of having our Brigade Patch designed for the ACU by a local company here in Victorville.
